How to Break into Hollywood as a Screenwriter

Welcome and Greeting Creative Creatures, I'm going to wax a little on the difficulties screenwriters have in breaking the Hollywood code to fame & fortune! I've gone to countless websites and gathered mountains of tips on how to become a successful screenplay writer.

When you collect information, sometimes you find more questions than answers such as: •How do you get an agent to represent you as a first time screenplay writer? •Why is it necessary to pose a log line to a prospective producer when u have the finished product? •What is the best approach in terms of attracting a potential option on your screenplay? •Where do I go to find producers and directors who will give a "newbie" a chance at least to read their log line? The funny thing about Hollywood is that its a tough walnut to crack! I'm a student of the game and I've researched tons of places including: www.goldmine.com www.linkedin.com www.inktip.com

You sometimes find 101 solutions to just one problem...i'm not kidding...lol...one producer or director will give you advice...then you find another prospective buyer who tells you the opposite...it can get a little crazy at times... The main thing is to never give up on your dreams! The competition is fierce and Hollywood is protective when it comes to who they include in their private club. If can give the best piece of wisdom its this: producers and directors are ALWAYS hungry for new talent...if you have polished screenplay....and i mean polished up to industry standards, you might get the chance to have a industry professional read your logline")

Make sure you have written at least 5 copyrighted screenplays before you even enter the kingdom of creativity. No producer or director will want to waste their time on a one hit wonder so make sure you have mastered your craft. Well...I'm off to learn more...stay tuned and might just get ahead of the curve on other screenplay writers wandering around in a daze of their deception. Do your homework, tireless warrior...will meet on top of the mountaintop of success someday!

All the Best,

Christopher Grant
